July is National Park and Recreation Month, and there’s no better way to kick it off than with fireworks, family fun, and fútbol! In proud partnership with Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces, Soccer5 is thrilled to join the celebration of this year’s National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) theme: “Where You Belong.” This year’s theme is a tribute to the incredible work park professionals do to foster connection, inclusion, and wellness in our communities—and Soccer5 is honored to be part of that mission.
PARKS, PLAY, AND A FIREWORKS DISPLAY
Join us on Thursday, July 4th at Tropical Park—home to both Soccer5 Kendall and one of the most iconic green spaces in Miami—for an unforgettable day of celebration. In addition to offering small-sided soccer fields for all ages and skill levels, Soccer5 will be on-site as part of this dynamic community event that blends culture, entertainment, and healthy living.
THERE IS SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE
Enjoy live DJs and performances by Univision on-air talent, a family fun zone filled with games and giveaways, delicious food trucks, prizes, hydration stations, and more—all leading up to a spectacular fireworks grand finale. Attendees are encouraged to bring reusable water bottles, as free hydration stations will be available throughout the park. Guests may also bring picnic blankets and chairs to relax and enjoy the festivities. Please note that personal fireworks, pets, and tents in the central event area are not permitted. Admission is free, and early arrival is strongly recommended due to limited parking.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS AT TROPICAL PARK
- 5 p.m. – Event starts & DJ on stage
- 5:50 p.m. – Free Soccer 5 Match Games and Goal Prizes
- 5:30 p.m. – Mundo Boxing demonstration with Champions
- 6 p.m. – 6:15 p.m.– Zumba performance on the stage
- 6:30 p.m. – Elected officials speaking engagement
- 7 p.m. – Musical performances on stage, presented by Univision
- 9 p.m. – Grand Finale Fireworks Show – Lake
- The skies will be filled with fireworks. You will not want to miss this spectacular show
- 9:15 p.m. – Event ends
Park and recreation programs play a huge role in bringing people together. They provide safe, inclusive spaces to be active, connect with others, and simply enjoy the outdoors.
